Koh Samui Hotels

Koh Samui offers everything, from numerous 5-Star resorts to wooden huts on the beach - and with every imaginable type of accommodation between. Areas such as Chaweng and Lamai have a higher concentration of hotels and resorts, but you can also choose to head for the solitude of a secluded beach or for the sweeping vista of a mountain hideaway. Even in these days of galloping inflation you can still find places for less than 300 baht a night!

Chaweng Hotels

Chaweng is just about 99% up-market now, with the beach huts of the hippie era having been swallowed up by developers. There's a big choice so shop around for discounts!

Bo Phut & Bang Rak Hotels

Although these 2 areas run right into each other, Bang Rak is quiet and almost remote but Bo Phut is lively, and with lots of budget and mid-priced hotels.

Choengmon Hotels

Although Choeng Mon is a small area, it boasts some of the most exclusive hotels on Samui. It's comparatively undeveloped, and a peaceful and pleasant spot.

Bang Por Hotels

Although this is one of the island's more residential areas, there are some quality hotels and resorts also, plus several excellent small 'villa estates' on the beach.

Laem Set Beach Hotels

It's ever so peaceful here! Tucked away down on Samui's southwest coast, you'll find that two or three top resorts have taken advantage of the unspoiled solitude here.

Lamai Hotels

Lamai has a reputation of being where the long-stay visitors head for. There's many more budget resorts than Chaweng, and with lots of them being scattered outside.

Mae Nam Hotels

Mae Nam has a bit of everything with two 5-Star hotels and dozens of small, family-owned bungalow resorts. You'll even still find some wooden huts on the beach!

Taling Ngam Hotels

This is one of Samui's most unspoiled regions, down towards the southern coast. Original fishing villages sit between the two or three very up-market hotels to be seen.

Nathon Hotels

Nathon is Samui's administrative centre, small (only three streets!) and with three or four basic hotels that really cater for the single overnight stay for those in transit.

Natien Beach Hotels

The small bays of Natien and Maret are even quieter than Laem Set Beach, and in the same southern part of Samui' - but on the east coast. Several excellent resorts here.
